Objective: To investigate the effects of conservative management on pain from plantar fibromatosis. Materials and Methods: This retrospective study analyzed the medical records of patients with plantar fibromatosis from February, 2008 to January, 2010. We discovered recent information of their pain through telephone interview. Results: Subjects were 17 men and 9 women patients. All patients took education for self care (100%), medication (88.5%), insole (76.9%) and steroid injection (7.7%). It took 465 (156¡937) days from the first OPD visit to telephone interview. Telephone interview revealed that patients carried out instructions well, kept wearing insole (57.7%) and took medication intermittently (3.8%). Their visual analogue scale (VAS) and score of foot function index improved significantly. Conclusion: Conservative management proved to be effective to treat the heel pain from plantar fibromatosis. Appliance of insole and self-care education for regular stretching, suitable shoes and lifestyle modification are beneficial to the treatment
